Ghost Road Enduro

Upper Buller Gorge, West Coast - 16 January 2016

The Ghost Road Enduro is a heli-assisted enduro style racing experience in the wild West Coast's stunning backcountry. The course covers 30kms and be a four stage race starting from the Ghost Lake Hut and finishing at the Lyell.

The 80km-long Old Ghost Road is a long-forgotten gold miners' road being revived as a mountain biking and tramping trail - connecting the old dray road in the Lyell (Upper Buller Gorge) to the mighty Mokihinui River in the north. The Ground Effect Slush Fund fired copies of the IMBA trail building guide books their way back in 2011, read more about the project here www.oldghostroad.org.nz.
