Mogo State Forest - NSW
In the early 2000s the Eurobodalla Cycling Club maintained the Maulbrooks Mtb Tracks in Mogo State Forest, 15 km from Batemans Bay, NSW. After fighting a losing battle with foliage threatening to swallow the tracks Ground Effect funded a brush cutter to help with the maintenance battle.
Fast forward to 2023 and a 150 km network of mtb trails plus the Mogo Adventure Trail Hub are currently under construction in Mogo State Forest and around Deep Creek Dam. When completed it will connect Mogo, Batemans Bay and Batehaven.
The project is funded by a $5 million grant from the NSW and Australian Governments’ Bushfire Local Economic Recovery Fund, and a $3 million grant from the NSW Government’s Growing Local Economies Fund.
