Cycling Plus (UK) - Jul 10
The Ricochet is made of cotton polyester, so combines a wicking-tastic inner next to your skin with a soft cotton outer that looks good and feels pleasingly natural - though it does hang onto moisture slightly longer than its 100 per cent rivals. It's long in the body and fits comfortably close without being too clingy, aided by the elasticated tops of the two rear pockets either side of the central zipped third - a good combination of secure-but-easily-accessible and fully secure.
The 3/4-length zip is easy to move up or down, one-handed and on the move. We really like this one.
Lovely feeling, fitting and looking jersey that'll suit a wide range of uses. 8/10.

What Mountain Bike (UK) - Jun 08
New Zealand bike manufacturer Ground Effect takes a totally different approach to fabrics, and uses it's own Intercool woven material for it's summer-weight cycle jerseys. And you can tell the quality straight away. With a polyester inner face and cotton outer, the aim is to shift moisture from skin to air as quickly as possible - and it seems to work amazingly well with the added bonus of feeling kitten soft against the skin.
Although this isn't a great choice for wet rides under lots of layers, the Ricochet comes into it's own when the weather hots up. A high neck and decent sleeves offer good sun protection, a three-quarter zip aids ventilation and three extremely useful pockets line the scooped elastic hem in style.
Conclusion:
Comfort 9/10
Features 10/10
Function 9/10
Value 10/10
Overall 10/10
A true summer jersey at a bargain price. Practically an essential buy.

Australian Cyclist - Jun 02
There is a whole range of women's cycling tops in the catalogue. The pumpkin-colour Ricochet certainly stands out in a crowd. It's designed for warm weather cycling with an inner layer of fabric that wicks sweat away from the skin and a cotton outer layer that takes it to the exterior. All the women' s tops are shaped to fit and have non-elasticated bottom seams to end that big belly look that some of us suffer with other styles of cycling tops. The Ricochet is also available in cobalt blue.

A bi-component fabric coupling an inner layer of polyester with a honeycomb knit outer layer of cotton. The polyester wicks sweat away from your body and the cotton draws it through to the outside, ensuring super-efficient evaporation to keep you cooler and drier. Magic.

Velo-verve coupled with hot-weather cycling performance for clocking miles on the road bike or nailing that elusive section of singletrack. Ground Effect's Intercool fabric wicks away sweat. Great for those not-so-lazy, hazy summer days when your body exceeds its euphemistic glow.

Washing Instructions?
> InterCool tops enjoy a warm machine wash. Try to avoid cold-water detergents and those with bleach. The cold-water varieties have little enzymes that are super-charged to brave the cold but can damage technical fabrics and cause skin irritation. And bleach rots natural fibres like cotton, strips the dye and may also cause irritation. As a rule of thumb, product that is easy on the planet is also easy on your body. Plant based soaps like 'Ecover' or specific sport wash formula are recommended.
> Hand washing is sometimes the only option on tour, but a washing machine rinses more thoroughly and is preferable if you have the choice.
> This Intercool top will be almost dry out after the spin cycle of your washing machine so using a dryer is unnecessary - if you must then choose a warm (not hot) cycle.
