Kopiko 'Cape to Cape' Video

19 July 2021

Video: Deane Parker & Dylan Gerschwitz

Deane and Dylan capture the grandeur, emotion and hurt of the 2021 Kopiko Aotearoa bikepacking event - winding its way over 1100 km from East Cape to Cape Egmont. A captivating watch - especially if the Kopiko is on your hit list.

Thanks for the inspiration guys. Crying gently in my beer, lockdown number six extended to the end of September at least. I suspect I’ve ridden every road and laneway within 5km of home just a few too many times while dreaming of getting away… anywhere

Thanks guys. That was a nice break from our fifth lockdown in Melbourne. Apparently it totals six months with a 5km or 10km radius riding limit.

Nice video.
Great to see and hear the honesty of the riders.
What a great effort.
I’ve only done 500klm on a bike ride through Vietnam.
This took me back.
