Taylors Escape Work Party

06 April 2021

If you hang your helmet in Christchurch then you may like to invest some toil in our local track network. The Taylors Mistake bach owners own the farmland that reaches back up to the Summit Road. They hatched a plan last year to forge a climbing track out of Taylors to avoid the need to dice with boy racers on the tarmac. Ground Effect and Mike Baddeley surveyed and blazed the line with weed eaters at the start of summer. With the approach of winter and the softening of the dirt it’s now primetime to work on the benching and switchbacks.

The date is now set for Saturday 19 June. If you’re keen for a day on the tools, email Cherie to book a spot. After-match nourishment and suds provided by the Ground Effect Slush Fund.

Hey team!

I really appreciate your work and what you’ve achieved. I’m sorry that I won’t be able to make it on 1st May but would love to contribute my time and effort on a subsequent work party.
