21Just like a hot cuppa, the Thermos singlet warms you from the inside out. Worn under your favourite cycle top, Heatwave™ Merino wicks away sweat while WindFoil™ softshell shields your torso from biting breezes without any flap.
▹
▹ Man vs Wild
Merino is unrivalled for comfort as a body layer. It absorbs more moisture than synthetic fibres, mopping up excess sweat rather than letting it settle and cool on your skin. However high-aerobic activities like cycling will often overload ordinary merino. Heatwave's polyester component repels moisture to avoid total saturation of the fabric - so it dries faster to keep you toasty.
▹ Snug-as-a-Bug Fit
Heatwave™ Merino tops are intended to hug your body, ensuring the fabric sits against your skin to wick sweat away - keeping you dry and not chilling out.
▹ Hot 'n' Cold
As a single garment Heatwave™ Merino regulates your temperature through a wide range of conditions. Delivering comfort in all but the hottest climes. Yet it is versatile enough to layer under a WindFoil™, microFoil™ or HydroFoil™ shell in winter.

After reading other reviews I'm very impressed with the Thermos.Excellent for cold mornings and probably need one less layer when using the Thermos, don'y worry my mates are hearing about it, heading South at the end of October this will be the first thing I pack. CR
Ok, so I love this top, but I love the Ristretto more, hence the 4 star rating. It's great for freezing cold commutes and road rides but the wind foil layer tends to make it a little sweaty if you're not keeping up some speed- think mountain bike single track. Otherwise a good top.
Recently I purchased this product. I love this top as I bike in Rotorua where it can be cold in the winter and this top keeps the cold wind off my chest. I would recommend it. It is my second one now with my first being bought many many years ago.
I've had a thermos base layer singlet for a long time and really love it. The windstopper front and woollen material makes it ideal for chilly morning rides as a base layer - keeping you warm and keeping the wind off your chest. Even when it warms up a little, the thermos is still very comfortable. This is my third one - wore out the first ones from several years of daily use.
My boy has headed south to ChCh for the sunny EBOP, casual work requires across city strop, it could be the dead of night, cold fog hindering daylight, 1st on his Thermos he does slap, toastie warm happy chap
