Integrated handlebar harness and waterproof bag for lightweight off-road touring and multi-day mountain biking. Separate roll closures at each end to access your stuff.
Time of year, terrain and availability of huts all impact on your selection but on a two day-one night summer mtb trip you should easily be able to stash all your food, clothing and emergency kit into the Ortlieb Seat Pack/Handlebar Bag combo. You may choose to supplement those with a small daypack to carry a water bladder, lunch, snacks and evening meal. Check out the Weight Watcher’s Equipment Guide for more.
Used this for an over night trip, it was great. Being able to access both ends, gives it a great advantage over others. Loved it. TA here i come...
Upgraded from a handlebar harness to the Sweet roll as it had 4 point mounting for Jones H loop bars. The 4 point mount (kit is a seperate purchase) kept the roll off the head tube despite my short stem and made the steering feel much lighter. Paired with the Revelate egress pocket seamlessly for absolutely no tyre rub under fork compression like I had previously suffered. Absolutely brilliant, worth every cent
Used it for the first time this week end on the Thunderbolts adventure. I liked it. Easy to pack and to retrieve stuff. Putting it on the handle bars of a dually with cables everywhere was a fiddle but once on it was OK. Broke the plastic buckle of the strap that holds it to the head gear - annoying! A video on ideas for packing and the different features would be useful for a clueless bloke like me
A good solid bag. Stiffener helps hold the shape of the bag well without a harness. One improvement would be if the main straps could be reversed so that the clips are accessible from the front as feed bags make it difficult to access the clips for removal.
I bought this for my first bikepacking experience. It fitted well onto the bike and appeared to hold quite a bit including a yoga mat, clothing and food and the ends folded in easily. My sleeping bag fitted on the top but because of the weight had to use some ties to hold it up to keep it off the front wheel. All in all very pleased with it and will be used often.
