Torque Key

9 reviews

Don't risk damage to your expensive carbon frame or handlebar by over-tightening critical bolts. The Torque Key combines a 5 Nm torque handle with six standard bits to fix your handlebar faceplate, brake levers, shifters, seat clamp and disk rotors. An essential addition to the home workshop and perfect for bike reassembly when travelling overseas - or while visiting Basil at Fawlty Towers in Torquay.

  • Compact and light in your tool kit or bike bag.
  • Hex 3/4/5mm; Torx T-20/25; Phillips #1 bits.
  • 5 Nm max torque - a widely used standard. Torque range is usually etched on each component.
  • Not recommended for loosening bolts. Use a regular tool.
  • Bit holder included.
  • Size: 7cm x 5cm.
  • Weight: 84 grams.

Simple and does its job well

Very useful portable tool. Good range of bits and they hold together well. Simple to use - the handle 'jumps' when torque is 5nm.

    Torque Key Review

A great early Christmas gift from my wife, the Torque Plus is a great addition to my workshop. Ive always been a bit concerned about the correct tension to apply to bolts, seat posts etc on my bikes (all five). Do you risk under tightening and things coming loose or over tighten and can't get them undone on the road or strip threads? The 5 Newton torque key is a cost effective little tool to solve this problem, ensuring the correct tension is applied. It includes 3, 4 and 5 mm Allen heads and T20 and T25 Torx heads as well as a Phillips head driver. The tool is small and compact enough to now be included in my bike touring tool kit. Good work Ground Effects.

    Great wee tool

Great tool, especially if you're dealing with a carbon framed bike. Throw it in your backpack and make adjustments on the go.
