Kalamunda Mtb Collective

28 July 2016

The Kalamunda Mountain Bike Collective hang out on the outskirts of Perth in WA. The Collective is the custodian of a mtb trail network in Kalamunda and surrounding areas, which comprises of over 40km of single track situated in National Park and State Forest. Maintenance of the trail network is done by voluntary labour, who were keen for some funds to replace their compactor. The Slush Fund came to the party in 2016 with $1000, enough for two compactors - 68kg and 45kg, now being put to good use sculpting berms. Check out their latest antics on Facebook.

The West Australian Mountain Bike Association (WAMBA) used to be the trail advocacy and co-ordination body for mountain biking in WA. In 2013 the Ground Effect Slush Fund bank rolled the initial compactor for the trail maintenance and development at Kalamunda.
