VOGA Cycle Club - Creswick, VIC
VOGA (Villages of the Old Goldfields Association) Cycle Club is made up of a passionate group of cycle enthusiasts based in and around Creswick, Victoria.
The club work closely with the Hepburn Shire Council to deliver the 100km of Creswick Trails surrounding the township, and part of their MOU is to carry out ongoing trail maintenance. They put out the call out to Ground Effect for a leaf blower, and the Slush Fund handed over $1000 for its purchase.
The Creswick Trail Master Plan has been developed to provide a clear pathway towards developing Creswick and the broader Goldfields Region as a world-class mountain bike and recreational trail destination. Creswick is located 1.5 hours from the Melbourne CBD.
The club promotes cycling and advocates for safe cycling networks throughout the region. Their current focus is with getting juniors onto bikes and encouraging novice riders of any age to come and have a go. The club hosts a Junior Cycle Series and The Brackenbury Mountainbike Challenge, which Ground Effect sponsored with a stash of Gift Cards for spot prizes this year.
