I'm not one to gush but I find it quite hard not to when it comes to my newish Hot Toddy. It is nothing less than perfect! I have lots of your clothing in my wardrobe (and my husband as well) and I love them all, but my new Hot Toddy is my new favourite. It fits perfectly and this is the first time I have ever found a hoody with a hood that actually fits my head and neck.Usually they are too short or too baggy. It is working nicely for cycling and it has been doing some interesting cross training too. I fly a paraglider (and a hangglider) and it fits so nicely under my jacket and flying suit, snugly under my helmet to stop me from getting hypothermic in the sky.It has been seen on cold mornings running along the coast where I live. Frankly, I think it looks so good on me that I reckon I'd get away with it when I go out clubbing (which, at my great age, I do sooooh often)!PS Just ordered a Robin Hood for above-mentioned husband. Hope he loves it just as much!
I bought this for my better half and she seemed well chuffed. The fact that it is getting worn pretty consistently (in lieu of other popular Kiwi merino base layer brands) stands testament to the fact it must be pretty good. It is not pink - which is a plus. It is cosy and suitable for cycling / skiing etc. In fact it may well allow me to leave the house's central heating off for another month or two yet (it is now September in Scotland).
I own couple of old black hot todies which I wear on every tramping trip, love to put the hoodie on when it gets windy and my partner is always jellous as he has to hunt in his back pack for a hat... It's just the perfect length to keep your lower back worm and when it gets too worm you can easily pull it off even over your helmet.... Now my only problem with my new hot todie (mint colour) is that it looks way too good for tramping and so I wear it to work instead and I want to wear it everyday so I'm getting another one....
Absolutely rapt with this . Awesome mint colour ( I did have old forest green colour & this is way better!) Almost too good for biking! Absolutely 10/10 for this purchase
The Hot Toddy is a good cycle top. It doesn't really feel that warm though - I'm thinking I'll still need another warm layer to get through the cold morning starts.
The knack to winter riding pleasure is to manage your body temperature with different layers - typically a thermal base layer against your body - enter the Hot Toddy, a mid-layer of insulation, and an outer shell to top it all off.
