Got sick of my old vests and bought this a few weeks ago, and it’s already been good for commuting during the transitional seasons. I was caught out once with a cold snap with short sleeves and just the vest to keep me warm enough. Did the job of shielding the core from wind. Actually it was quite pleasant once I warmed up. I normally get an L size but went with an XL this time and happy with to choice. I could’ve gone either way with this top but nowadays I prefer a slightly looser fit with outer shells. Having said that it’s still stretchy and form-fitting. Very comfortable. Bought the orange as having hi-vis colour was important to me. Pockets are good - one zip at the front (good for keys/passes) and 3 in the back with middle one zippered. Good temperature moderator with windproofing and mesh strips running down each side for ventilation. Lightweight, stretchy and feels well-made. Scrunches down so you could fit it in a cycle jersey back pocket.
Only used it a couple of times but so far has met all expectations. Super lightweight and folds up to next top nothing. Pockets at the back are very useful. I’ve had many vest in my cycling years but for some strange reason they haven’t had pockets. This one does and also a pocket to fold the whole vest into for easy carriage and storage. Rode a section of the Munda Biddi trail last week and although no rain the vest was great for keeping the chill off my chest. All up seems to work well and another great product from Ground Effect.
I've been searching for a vest with pockets, no mesh on the back, and fits me for ages. Bonus is it's not black so very visible.

The “Spectre” vest recently purchased is my second one, the first is still serviceable and works fine as an over the top light weight vest to keep the wind out but over the years has become rather dirty after many muddy off road rides. The new one now I keep exclusively for on road commuting rides to keep the wind out and more importantly to help keep me visible to oncoming and from behind vehicular traffic. I like the yellow as it goes with my blue “Frosty Boy” jacket to show my support for Ukraine.
