Stash your expedition kit into the Escapist for your next multi-day epic into the back of beyond. The go-to-pack for riding tracks like the Heaphy, Paparoa or Old Ghost Road.
Super light but still feels substantial. Fitted everything for a 2 nighter. Going to buy another.
My husband loves it! I brought it for him for his birthday - he couldn't stop checking out all the pockets but has used it a couple of times and as I said he loves it.
Just purchased my new backpack expressly for the OGR . Have not had a chance to test drive her laden while climbing /descending on the MTB , BUT , I have been using it around Singapore this week . What impresses me is the ease of opening those zippers ! With the little plastic finger-pulls she's a breeze ! Talking about breeze the 'escape' air vent has been a bonus in these more tropical climbs , preventing the bag itself from becoming saturated with sweat . Little pockets and pulls carefully thought about and of course the chest strap with its vertical adjustment (mine suits me just above the ****** line) Not the same for everyone . Can't wait to take her overnight on the Heaphy then Old Ghost Road next month .
Bought his with the intention of using for multiday epics but does the duties now for many of my mtb riding. The pack is solidly made, has nifty wee solid finger pull loops for using zips with gloves on. The tool storage pocket is well accessorised and the webbing keepers and straps are allretained well and for comfortably. Really a great purchase. Don't hesitate if you're contemplating as its a purchase I'm not regretting.
Bought this to do the Old Ghost Road. Rode with it fully laden for 2.5 days and was really surprised at how comfortable it was- loads of adjustability to get a perfect fit. Rain cover was handy too... Only grumble- the phone pocket on the shoulder strap isn't big enough to fit an iPhone 6. Over all a great pack and highly recommended
