squeezed the tops of my legs and didn't feel comfortable. On slimmer thighs they would be okay probably . Thanks for the prompt service though, you guys are awesome.
I have bought many leggings over the years and these are the best. The lycra material is a little thicker Thani have been accustomed to purchasing which suits me fine as I feel the cold more than most. The length is just right for me - medium size and I am 176 cm. As a result, they don't ride down the thigh or up the ankle as soon as you start cycling and the grip ensures they stay in place. These are a winner!
if you do the heaphy ( or any adventure ride) u need to take these. Great all weather protection unzip & roll up to knee when it warms up, dries quick at nite to dust off mud for the next day, exelent
Bought a pair of half pipes this winter, even on minus 2 mornings they kept my legs warm and the zips allowed them to be removed easily when it warmed up a bit. The only disappointment is that there arent normal length nicks to match them with.
I bought half pipes for the Heaphy to save taking long cycling pants or over-trou as well as long-johns for the hut, and also to keep the sandflies off. They worked well, packed down small with minimal weight. I got the medium size which was just right for me. I am 180 cm tall, 80cm waist. I was worried that the elastic around the top would be uncomfortable but it was OK. The Merino material is warm and good quality and the bottom zips make then easy to get on and off but I didn't take them off over my shoes. It did not rain on my trip so I didn't experience them wet so I cant comment on that aspect. However, they were otherwise a very good supplement to my shorts. I give them 5 star based on my one trip with them so far.
