Kendal School in Christchurch officially opened their Community Bike Track back in March 2012. The 600m circuit around the perimeter of the school grounds was immensely popular and great preparation before graduating to McLean's Island and Bottle Lake. The children voted on the various 'challenges' they wanted on the track. The Slush Fund provided cash to build the six challenge sections, including a slalom, seesaw and some bridges. Unfortunately the school has now been closed as part of the Ministry of Educations' post earthquake school restructure in Christchurch.
