FAQ | Shipping + Taxes

Orders are generally packed and despatched the same day your order is received.

+Aoteroa | New Zealand

• Costs NZ$9 via NZ Post Courier and should arrive the next working day.
• The courier can deliver to your work, home, PO Box or RD address.
• Rural Delivery generally takes an extra working day.
• You are not required to sign for the package.

+Australia

Shipping is by Tracked Airmail.

• Costs NZ$12 and takes about a week.
• We can deliver to your work, home or PO Box.
• If you’re not home, the parcel will be left in a safe location by the postie or courier driver. Otherwise a card will be left.

GST Included

• All prices include Australian GST, which is paid by Ground Effect directly to the Australian Tax Office. A tax invoice is included with your order.

+United Kingdom

Shipping is by Tracked Airmail.

• It takes around 1 - 2 weeks. Our shopping cart calculates the postage based on weight – typically NZ$20-30.

VAT

• When your package arrives in the UK, you may be asked to pay VAT, any duty, and an £8 admin fee.
• In that case, Royal Mail will send you a grey 'Fee to Pay' card, or you'll receive an email/SMS notification.
• The fee can be paid online or in person at your local Customer Service Point. If paying online, you should be able to choose a delivery day that’s most convenient for you.
• To help offset this we subsidise the shipping cost when you order from us.

+United States

Regretfully shipping to the USA is currently unavailable due to recent changes in tariffs and tax threshold regulations. Our apologies.

+Rest of the World

Shipping is by Tracked Airmail

• Takes around 1-2 weeks. Our shopping cart calculates the postage based weight – typically NZ$15-25.
• Ground Effect subsidises the shipping cost to help alleviate any local taxes payable on arrival.
• Sadly, in some of the more windswept (and inherently more interesting) corners of the globe this service is not offered by our freight providers. If your country is not on the drop down list in the shopping cart then contact us to explore options.

Local Taxes

• You are likely to end up paying local taxes and/or duties plus an admin fee when the package arrives.
• Canada and the EU collect tax on all parcels when they hit their shores. Other destinations are more random.
