The Southland Mountain Bike Club has recently completed another stage of their planned 15km network of trails on Bluff Hill. The new 1.3km Downhill track is the first for Southland since logging destroyed their old DH tracks a while back. The new track offers plenty of line options to cater for less committed riders whilst still satisfying the risk takers. In 2010 they completed a 4.5km singletrack finishing off a challenging but not insurmountable climb to the top of the hill proffering outrageous views of Stewart Island and Southland. The Slush Fund came to the party with some building materials for bridges and signage.
