Ōtaki MTB Trails - Tararuas

The Waitohu Valley and Mt Thompson mountain bike trails are situated in the foot hills of the Tararuas, between Manakau and Ōtaki. With $1000 from the Ground Effect Slush Fund a scrub bar was purchased to keep back the fast growing side and overgrowth on the tracks, and also keeping the lower growth clear and tidy on the single track. Kāpiti Cycles Mtb Group led the charge with this track maintenance.
