Branford Park - Nelson
Back in 2016 the Nelson Mountain Bike Club worked hard on the jumps in Branford Park, Maitai Valley, Nelson.
There has been a set of jumps at the park for years but they have always been small in scale. The focus of the project has been to develop a line of friendly tabletops for beginner/intermediate riders, and construct a bigger line of gap jumps for more advanced hucking.
The project has been managed by volunteers from the club, with the majority of the work undertaken by volunteers. More than 60 truck-loads of donated soil has been unloaded at the site off Maitai Valley Road. The Ground Effect Slush Fund helped out with $1000 towards digger and truck hire.
