Onepu Mtb Park - Whakatāne

In 2019 the Whakatāne Mtb Club took over the administration and maintenance of the Onepu Mtb Park after losing access to trails in the Rawhiti Forest behind Ohope. Since taking on the park the club have spent a load of time reinvigorating trails and building new ones.

Recently the club decided it was time to replace the old chainsaw with a new electric model, and help reduce fire risk in the forest. The Ground Effect Slush Fund got wind of this and provided the $1500 cash for the e-saw and batteries.

Back in 2020 the Ground Effect Slush Fund stumped up with $1000 to help with the installation of new signs.
