All in all we had the prefect gear for our off-road traverse of the South Island. The waterproof jackets did the trick too, doing exactly what they were meant too and the arm zips on my anti-Cyclone did a nice job of creating a bit of breeze. We only had three days of rain during the trip so the wet weather gear didn't get too much of a workout. We felt bad about that so endeavoured to undertake some additional product testing for you at Helena Falls in Doubtful Sound. We can confirm that under 200m of water pressure, the anti-Cyclone holds up really well!Mark, Ruth and Neil
The Antarctic vortex has set in & I am very happy to have purchased an anti-cyclone which has been performing admirably. The active hood is fantastic doesn't restrict movement or vision.Found that mud & road grime just hose off. With 35 years of riding it is by far the best foul weather jacket I have used.
I have worn the anti-cyclone a few times since buying it. I find it comfortable although possibly a little snug when wearing layers underneath on cold days. I bought a medium and it is definitely a closer fit than my medium Flash Gordon. It appears to be slightly shorter as well, making it slightly less useful for other activities like running. I do like the 3 layer fabric and the features of the jacket. I would recommend this jacket to others.
Went out on my bike in a storm wearing this jacket to test it for an upcoming trip to the Pyrenees - and it worked like magic. Was buffeted all over the place but stayed dry and when it I started to get hot found unzipping the sleeves and front worked really well - except that I learnt that once your arms get wet, they stay wet! Have another one on its way for my wife.
Guys, this is the best bad-weather jacket I've ever owned. I was a bit nervous as it is fairly expensive, but no regrets at all. I've had numerous tramping, running and biking jackets but this is by far and away the best. It's light and compresses to very small size, keeps the rain off, but maintains excellent "breathability". This side of things is so good I've taken to wearing it as a wind jacket in cold weather. Great job. As an aside, huge thanks to Nicole for going above and beyond to get the jacket to me as a rush job prior to a West Coast trip ... brilliant customer service.
