+FAQ
+How waterproof are these gloves?
  • The fabric is completely waterproof, but if you are riding in persistent and/or heavy rain - water will eventually run down your arms and sneak into your gloves.
  • Also with extended exercise in warmish conditions you are likely to overload the breathable membrane and get sweaty/damp hands.
  • So not bulletproof, but in those conditions they will still keep your hands drier than standard gloves.
+Washing

  • All Ground Effect clothing enjoys a warm 40ºC machine wash.
    • As a rule of thumb, a laundry product that is easy on the planet is also easy on your body. Select a mild plant-based soap like  Ecostore,Earthwise orAware.
    • Hand washing is sometimes the only option on tour, but a washing machine rinses more thoroughly and is preferable if you have the choice.
    • Avoid cold-water detergents and those with bleach, 'oxygen whitener' or fabric softener.
      • The cold-water varieties have little enzymes that are super-charged to brave the cold but can damage technical fabrics and cause skin irritation.
      • Bleach rots natural fibres like merino, strips the dye, attacks laminates of waterproof fabrics and can also cause skin irritation.
      • Sodium Percarbonate (the main ingredient in oxygen whitener) can make colours run.
      • Fabric softener and wool wash destroy the water repellent finish on waterproof fabrics, and can also cause colours to run.
    • Most Ground Effect gear dries super-fast, so hanging on the line or draped over the bedpost is generally the best option.
      • High heat can damage some fabrics so if you do take your threads for a spin in the dryer, set the device on 'medium' or 'warm' rather than hot.
      • A dryer is recommended for your rain jacket or pants, as it helps recharge the water repellant treatment on the outside of the fabric.

        Warm but odd proportions

Size guide is poor, don't rely on it. Sure gloves fit across the hand as per the guide but forefinger turned out to be too short - only discovered this on first wear when gripping bar so couldn't return.

        Ground Effect

Hi Kaylene, thank you for your feedback. It sounds like there might be an issue with the gloves – I'll flick you an email about getting it sorted. Pedal on, Ernie

        Seal skin gloves

Definitely a step up in warmth on a cold Wellington morning.

        Gloves are nice and toasty

The All Weather Gloves have been great at below zero temperatures in Central Otago recently.

        Sizing out

The sizing is not as per the sizing chart - they are smaller. I have other Ground Effect gloves in L and they fit well. Got some of these all weather gloves in L and the are very difficult to get on - to tight. Disappointing. Guess I need XL.

        Ground Effect

Thanks for your review Dan, sorry they don't seem to fit. Please note these are not the same sizing as the Ground Effect gloves, and there are seperate size charts associated with each brand/product. Pedal on, Ernie

        Warm hands happy ride

This is the second pair of these I've had. I lost the first pair. : - ( The fact that I got the same ones, says a lot for these gloves. I should have upsized, though. My hands are not big, but the L-size gloves are a touch too tight for my liking. I couldn't remember the size of the OG pair. Tight gloves tend not to insulate as well.
