Love the Blackhole for keeping my neck warm riding in cooler weather. Also recently I have found it great in bed on cold nights to stop the arthritis in my neck making me wake up with a stiff and aching neck..
Absolutely best thing to buy for winter. Keeps the cold out.
The only problem with it for us was how we wanted to use it, which probably wasn’t what it was designed for. We wanted to bring it up over our face when biking but it was too big and because of the shape of the back of your head it slipped down. Probably need a balaclava.
I love pairing a Black Hole with my Ice Queen top. They work together perfectly for my morning downhill commuter ride. My only complaint is that the Black Hole is black, so they’re a little easy to lose.
As I have aged, I have found that I need face and neck protection in what were once warmer temperatures. I bought a Black Hole and a Scrunch a few seasons back. The Black Hole is softer, stretchier, and warmer than the Scrunch. The long length allows me to capture the bottom in my jacket, and the top with my head covering. My helmet holds it all in place! I wear the Black Hole for temperatures below 50F (10C) and the Scrunch up to about 60F (15C). Lately I have been wearing the Scrunch as a face mask while on the bike. The US did not handle COVID nearly as well as NZ did, so we are going to be wearing masks for a long time. Great stuff. My only request would be more colors!
