Hit the curves at speed with the Chicanes. The state-of-art eXo™ skeletal pad is laminated to the shorts' body for unequalled precision and performance. While their Hot Shot™ Merino fabric delivers a nudge more warmth than our standard issue lycra.

These shorts have surprised me in a really good way. I was quite sceptical about the merino, expecting something similar to the Mons Royale liners that do get holes easily and are see-through. But the fabric feels and looks more like Lycra with the merino on the inside. I've worn the shorts in an adventure race on a very hot day and they were great for riding and running in, didn't get too hot. Side pockets very handy for gloves. Also keep me warm on cooler mornings. Only complaint is I think they are a smidge lower cut at the back than the mojos, so still adjusting to that. But overall highly recommend, very comfortable shorts!
Bought these for cycling in Europe for 3 weeks in May. Great variety of conditions- cold, wet, hot and sweaty. These performed really well. I was afraid they would be too hot but that was not the case . Felt warm in near 0degC in the Alps and cool in near 30degsC in Italy. Did not smell and no chafing ( but used Biomaxa Cream). Hand Washed and dried overnight in hotel room. Maintained their shape and comfort. Would highly recommend.
I’m really happy with the chicanes, from the soft fabric an use of merino for breathability and the shorts that sit perfectly without a tight grip. No chaffing or sore spots on a long ride.
Tried these with a short local ride. I only saw as put on 2 pockets but as no zip I added my blue GE tantrums as zip pocket for phone. Seemed fine, but was with the rendezvous liners felt glad to take off as feel moisture, but otherwise comfy and no chafing. With the merino % I might try again in winter as may be more suitable
