must have had 20 years use out of mine, bought them for t work commute (13km each way)… used incessantly in all weathers, and these days(retired) it’s ALL mountainbiking… AND, they’re still just fine, no repairs/ zips fine/ washed a million times… unbelievable quality GF.. how you manage to keep making +selling stuff when t buyers can’t wear it out is beyond me… kudo’s from t W coast.
The sizing on these is a bit out - I'm 81 kgs, usually an L, sometimes an M, I initially ordered these in L but they were way too short and tight - however Ground Effect quickly swapped them for an XL size which is still very snug, but just right for me. They are really warm, perfect for the NZ winter, although coming out of WInter I'll wear lighter tights for a while before going into shorts.
If I saw these in a shop I would walk straight past them. They do not look like anything special, BUT, they look and feel amazing on. I look forward every year to winter to be able to wear them - under a dress, under long pants, with a long shirt... I lived in mine, and needed a new set after about 10 years as mine were getting a bit thin. Having owned a set I was happy to spend the money on them as I already knew the quality was great. I was rapt to see they haven't changed either.
Just love my daddy long legs, not for biking but for golf and walking the dog on chilly winter days. In July & August live in them. An added bonus would be to supply some without the zips!
