- +How waterproof are these shoe covers?

- The fabric is completely waterproof, but if you are riding in persistent and/or heavy rain - water will eventually run down your legs and gradually irrigate your socks.
- So not bulletproof, but in those conditions they will still keep your feet warmer and drier than naked shoes.
- +How durable are they?

- Shoe covers are intended for riding not walking - so generally the domain of the tarmac rather than the backcountry.
- Abrasion to the fabric on the underside of the shoe cover will dramatically shorten its life.
- Shoe covers should be used with clip-in pedals. They are not compatible with flats - the constant contact between shoe and pedal accelerates fabric abrasion.

Got these just in time, the weather here in Aus is cold and wet. Been wearing these shoe covers on my daily commute for a couple of weeks and have found they keep my feet warm. The covers have also kept my bike shoes dry from road spray and light rain. Would recommend them for road riding but haven't tried them in the bush yet.

I bought these shoe covers to replace some older ones, which had zippers starting to fail. I’ve only worn these once, but it was a chilly ride (just 3 degrees C) and these shoe covers were very comfortable. They are easy to put on, and have a nice amount of stretch in the fabric, so you do not get any loose material around your shoe or ankle.

New ZealandToasty Toes
Got these a few weeks back to keep my feet dry when I'm commuting to work. Nothing worse than spending the day in wet shoes and socks. I had an opportunity to test them last week and they work like a charm. Dry and toasty toes after a 30 min commute in the rain. The only issue I have(with all the products I looked at) is they are designed for road shoes so a bit of a tight fit over chunky MTB shoes.
