This is the third pair of slim Jim's I have bought. I have tried other brands and when you have legs like flag poles they look like, well, you're flying a couple of flags. These fit well and wear well just like all Ground Effect gear.
Reviewing these after about 2,000km of riding. The initial fit of these when you first put them on is nice, however it really goes downhill after some riding. I find they ride down a lot, especially in hot sweaty conditions (and according to the fit chart I'm bang on for the size I bought). The gusset also seems oversized, giving you an unfortunate saggy bottom effect unless you really pull them up. Lastly, the pockets are so shallow they're only good for small items - you can't keep a phone in them and ride, it ends up digging into your hip. On the positive side, the material is nice and build quality seems good, shame about the design.
Hi Keith, thanks for your review. That certainly sounds a bit odd. I have emailed you separately to try and sort out a solution. Pedal on, Ernie
Happy customer. They have a water repellent feature (not waterproof), dry really quickly, fit snug so don't get caught on the bike, comfortable, my mate was impressed so is going to buy some. I recently used them for a week touring on my gravel bike.
Ground effect gear is the best! Extremely hard wearing and very functional. Slim Jim's are great for touring covering riding and casual bases. Like the snug fit and pocket options.
Best shorts I have ever worn. Excellent fit and the stretching makes it even better. I’m impressed by the workmanship of this home produced product.
