WORD Bike-a-Polooza

Bike-a-palooza is a fun mountain biking event for kids aged from 2 to 13 years old. Bike-a-palooza is run by WORD (Wellington Off-road Riding Department), a non-profit organisation dedicated to providing mountain biking adventures to children all over Wellington and Wānaka, to give them a lifelong love of riding. Four courses to choose from...

Orange


Recommended age: 2-6 year olds. Around the Wetlands loop. Parents are strongly encouraged to ride/walk with kids. This is the only course that parents are allowed to join.

Green


Recommended age: 7-9 year olds. Around the Wetlands loop, up Second Star, down Nga Tuna, last bit of the Wetlands loop.

Blue


Recommended age: 10-12 year olds. Intermediate Loop Wetlands loop, up Second Star, down Nga Tuna, last bit of the Wetlands loop, Jungle Gym, across the first bit of Labyrinth, down Snail Trail, last bit of the Wetlands loop. This course is TIMED.

Black


Recommended age: 10-13 year olds Advanced Loop Wetlands loop, up Second Star, down Nga Tuna, last bit of the Wetlands loop Jungle Gym, up Labryinth, down Labryinth Return, down Snail Trail, carry on down the last bit of Wetlands loop, This course is TIMED.
