Ross River Dam
Back in 2008 the club gained permission from the local water authority for access to the Ross Dam Park area. It took 12 months to wriggle through the red tape. The eventual successful outcome was in part due to the water authority's total support for the idea of mountain bikes in the area. It sets a useful precedent for other regions campaigning for access to water storage areas. The Ground Effect Slush Fund has helped out with funds for a scrub cutter, and excavator hire.

The Ground Effect Slush Fund has also helped out on another of the club's projects the Douglas Mtb Park. The club maintain 30 km of singletrack at the reserve.

In 2010 the Slush Fund went halves with the club on the cost of materials and excavator time. Late in 2011 the Slush Fund also helped them create two bridges on the Easy Street trail, one requiring a crane to install.
