Ashley Rakahuri Regional Park

A core of enthusiastic and keen members of the North Canterbury Cycling Club are actively involved in developing and enhancing the mtb area allocated in the Ashley Rakahuri Regional Park. In 2013 Tthe Ground Effect Slush Fund stumped up cash to cover the costs of drainage, signage, machine hire, and a wheel barrow. There are now approximately 21.5km of walking and biking tracks in the Ashley Rakahuri Regional Park.

Ultimately there should be 50-60km of nearly all off-road moderately easy mtb/walking/biking trails to McLeans Island.
