Whataupoko Reserve - Gisborne

Whataupoko Reserve was purchased by the Gisborne District Council in the early 90s. One enthusiastic local Bernie Vette has overseen the development of the trails used by hundreds of mountain bikers, walkers and runners each month. Ground Effect have slush funded the project a couple of times in the last few years, firstly with some cash for 'anti shortcut bollards' for hairpins, and in 2012 $1000 towards digger hire for track realignment.
