Dig Ōtautahi Trust (DOT) has been set up by enthusiasts who have been building and maintaining mountain bike tracks on the Port Hills for more than 20 years. Most notably they are responsible for the Taramea Loop, Elevator and Full Monty. The Taramea is a go-to for beginner riders progressing to riding single track. So far Dig Ōtautahi estimates 100K journey's have been made on the Elevator.
The big ask came from Dig Ōtautahi during the winter for high-vis vests for their team leaders to wear - the windproof thermal men’s Jetson and women’s Whirlwind vests were identified as perfect for task. Dig Ōtautahi have co-branded x10 vests with their logo on the front and ‘Trailbuilder’ on the back. The Ground Effect Slush Fund met them half way on the cost - Ground Effect is stoked to be to be on the DOT sponsor list, and has another $1000 or set aside to help out again when cash required.

Volunteer dig days are frequent, keep an eye on the DOT website for opportunities to help out.
