Kainui Bike Park - Wakefield, Tasman

In late 2021 OneFortyOne NZ generously allowed community access to their Kainui Nth Forest to build mtb trails. A small crew of dedicated volunteers in collaboration with the MTB Trails Trust have been busy creating tracks for all abilities. Stage one of the Kainui Bike Park was officially opened in December 2022, and the Kainui crew have plans to build plenty more trail.

Ground Effect happily dipped into the Slush Fund to contribute $2000 to pay for the signage and paint for the container at the park hub. 

The Great Taste Trail from Wakefield to Wai-iti Domain will get you to the park via bike. Vehicle access to the park is from Quail Valley or the Wai-iti Domain.
