The Queenstown Mtb Club Junior Sub-Committee has been busy educating the youth of today on how to play their part in the maintenance and development of trails. For groms this is clearing drains, sweeping trail, and moving small windfall. So the club got Ground Effect on board and with $900 cash from the Slush Fund were able to purchase a bunch of kid friendly tools. Rakes, a few Trail Fund NZ ’Weapons of Mass Creation’ and a couple of shovels. So if you see some groms sweeping trail, give them a high five, give them some encouragement, because they are the trail pixies of tomorrow.
