The Queenstown Mountain Bike Club Junior Sub-Committee have been busy educating the youth of today on how to play their part in the maintenance and development of trails. For groms, this is: clearing drains; sweeping trail; moving small windfall. So the club got Ground Effect on board and via $900 cash from the Slush Fund were able to purhcase a bunch of kid friendly tools. Rakes, a few Trail Fund NZ ’Weapons of Mass Creation’ and a couple of shovels. So if you see some groms sweeping trail, give them a high five, give them some encouragement, because they are the trail pixies of tomorrow.
