Just got my 3rd pair. I bought the first one around 2008 and it is still in use. Unfortunately it recently had a rendezvous with a spark from a campfire resulting in a small hole that will require a patch. Otherwise Ranchsliders seem to be indestructible. Not cheap but definitively worth every cent!
This is my second pair of Ranchsliders, after getting many years of good service out of my first pair. I’ve found them to be a very versatile pair of pants that I wear cycling, bush walking, playing some sports, and when I go out (smart casual). I’m a bit short and the pants are made a little long for me, but I get around this by simply clipping the cuff and folding it under. I’ve also noticed the belt loops on the new pair are a little bigger and this makes it easier to thread my Groundeffect belt through. I would highly recommend these pants.
I’ve owned Ranchsliders for nearly two years, wearing them for cold weather commutes (Melbourne, so under 10°) but mostly for bushwalking. They do what they’re advertised to do… stretch, don’t restrict, and allow full movement. They look good. Like all things Groundeffect, they’re thoughtfully designed by people who know what riders (and walkers) need.
