I bought my third pair recently-just in case they stopped making the Ranchsliders. No chance of that I suspect !
I had my previous Ranchsliders since 2010, I still use them but it was time for a new pair, that I could wear to the bar as well as on the trail! The new version is excellent, not cheap (even less so when I paid EU customs import duty) but worth the investment. Very well made and designed, my medium size was a perfect fit. Here in Portugal, mud is a relatively unusual problem but the winters can be cold and dry and you typically need longs for 3-4 months only. These are ideal for me, as the clip closure (press stud) on the ankles keeps your lower legs warm and dust out. The quality of material, seams, and comfort are excellent. I feel that these will have a long life and they appear very hardwearing.
Excellent quality product. So comfortable and functional. The old jeans are no competition for the Ranch sliders.
they were a lot baggier than I expected, I will have to wear ankle straps with them to keep them out of the chain, also I agree with another comment about the pockets being too small, no such problem with the supertankers, maybe use them as a model in the next iteration
Hi Steve, thanks for leaving us your feedback. Be sure to check out the domes on the turned-up cuff and calves to make them slimmer and help avoid chain suck (see the product video). I'll pass your comment about the pockets onto the design team. Pedal on, Ernie
