I live in Japan. This Draft Dodger replaced my old one. I went for the same jacket because I loved my old one so much. The first one is still going strong, but as I need it for mountain biking as well as commuting, I felt I needed two. The Draft Dodger sees me nicely through my early morning, 6km, winter commute in temperatures averaging 0 degrees, sometimes with rain and occasionally with light snow, in which it performs very well. I wear it over an undershirt, collared shirt and a thin sweater. The ventilation at sleeves and front are perfect for temperature control once the body has warmed up some. It's also a top performer on the trail, with the high collar and good length at the arms and body to stop cold drafts from seeping in. However, I do have a few nitpicks. Firstly, the loss of the old design's hood and back pocket with hi-vis flap equates to slightly less jacket for roughly the same price. Also, no extended tabs on the pocket zippers makes them a little difficult to find, especially with gloves. Finally, the sleeve vents are all but impossible to open or close one handed. Even using both hands, you have to position the fabric just right to get enough tension for the zipper to work. Overall, I recommend this jacket for all winter (and chiily spring and autumn) riding.
I have been using my frosty boy on cold days for a few years. I thought the draft dodger would also be great. It is. I am really pleased with the light weight, being warm on cold days and comfort. Full length zip is a winner. Beautiful fabrics and design. Decent length sleeves. Perfect fit. My wife reckons I look sexy in it. Cheers and too many beers, Clayton
The Draft Dodger is my favourite jacket, great fit - not too tight but not baggy, nice and warm and shrugs off those spring showers. So good I bought a second as I was wearing the first one off the bike all the time.
