I've worn these once since I go them here on the NSW north coast on a chilly morning - zero degrees. They are warm. I'll be wearing these next week when I do a three day ride up Armidale way which will be chilly. Ground Effect gear is great, I love it.
This is my second pair of lucifers as I went through the big toes on first, which was entirely my fault for not purchasing the correct size.. they are fantastic at keeping the cold out on these sub zero mornings as I still ride to work 5 days a week. Highly recommend, no need for outer shoe covers when using lucifers. Cheers Jeff
Training throughout the Taranaki winter..had to get some wind proof socks. I wasn't keen on toe covers.Ah ha, my bike buddy told me about these Lucifers. They keep the wind chill out..and we get the strong southerly winds here. They aren't bulky inside the shoes! Yahooo! Maybe I could wear one on my head too..hmmmm
I still get cold feet (possible it just my problem) . Excellent at stopping wind and my feet certainly don't get as cold .Nicely Finnished product I just need more warmth
* Bought these as a last resort after wasting money on 'Thermal' toe caps. Riding conditions are between 0 and 3 degrees most mornings and my toes were the bits that were suffering the most, with the discomfort after 30 min or so impossible, so the bike was getting abandoned. The Lucifers were bought after hours trawling the net, and am really happy to say that that have made a massive difference and enabled rides on these winter mornings. This morning was 2' and I was able to complete 90 mins with just a bearable level of discomfort. Groundeffect - thank you for a product that does exactly what it says - keep up the good work!
