An icon of velo anarchy, alley cat racing and singlespeeds. Courier satchels are supremely functional for commuting the urban jungle. There's padding for your laptop, a multitude of quick-access storage options for shades and tunes. And you'll arrive at your destination without a sweaty back.
Good quality, perhaps too complicated with too many zips…..including a “secret compartment” that stores a rain cover. I would definitely buy again
I've tried a few different bags for my daily commute. Didn't like backpacks and I've used a couple of different shoulder/ messenger bags before settling on the Osprey Metron. It has the essential chest strap to keep the bag in place, a very comfortable shoulder strap, holds its shape well, has a hi-vis raincover in a stowaway pocket, and the usual Osprey ridged back panel which is comfortable and avoids a sweaty back. The bag is well-made has heaps of features, some quirky touches that were initially a bit of a fiddly head-scratcher (the aluminium hook and loops, the sliding chest strap runner) but you adjust to these pretty quickly. Lots of good design features. OK size for a laptop and change of clothes.
I’ve had a few messenger bags and this one has two large sleeve sections in the main compartment area so I can commute with a 15.6 inch portable monitor and also a 13.5 inch laptop nice and secure. Lots of very smart design features and pockets as well. Also found this great store across the ditch to buy it from too!
