▹ Should I wear underwear with these shorts?
▹ Hitching up ya britches?
Personally I preferred the old version of these cycling shorts which had an elastic waistband. I find the new style are inclined to slip down which is a bit annoying.
Hi Simone. Thanks heaps for your feedback. We'll be sure to pass it on to the design team. Just a note here on 'Hitching up ya britches' that you may find helpful. The challenge in fitting 3/4 length shorts and tights is the inherent tension of the fabric between your hips and knees. Even with stretch fabrics this can encourage your pants to creep down off your hips so the pad no longer fits snugly against your bum. It's more likely if you're lucky enough to have a longer-than-average femur. The trick is to inch up the fabric below your knees so there is less tension along your thighs. If you are a girl, think about how you pull on your fishnet stockings. If you are a boy, think about something else. Ernie.
I bought short cuts in WL. I love the leg length, fabric and design. They were comfortable, however I normally buy size 12, and I found the hips and rear a bit too roomy. I ordered a WM. There was quite a large difference between medium and large in the waist. The WM was too tight in the waist. I kept the WL. I spoke to another active lady who said she also found the WM a bit tight in the waist.
Hi there Janine. Thanks for your feedback. We'll pass it onto he design team. Ernie
These pants are perfect - great quality, fabric, size. Also decided to go with Ground Effect as they are made in NZ. I didn't realise how comfortable they were going to be, especially for longer days on the trails. I am definitely converted to Ground Effect products :)
Great pants. They are super comfy. Love the high waist as I don't feel like I constantly have to pull them up. Padded is adequate but too bulky. The fabric is great, not sweaty at all and love the fact that also feel like compression tights. I used these for an adventure race and would highly recommend them!
I've been buying 'short cuts' for many many years and just purchased more and was so disappointed as I could barely get them up - I haven't grown taller or wider or put on any weight either - they fit around the waist nicely but I feel like I'm in a very firm girdle. I guess you have changed suppliers and they are saving material?
Hi Ann. Thanks for the feedback. Looks like you're sending them back for us to suss out. Kind regards, Ernie
