Sharp baggies for enhanced performance at the edge. The Snipes are stripped back with minimal pockets, generous mesh front-vents and slightly shorter legs than the Juggernauts or Supertankers. Making them cooler in hot weather, and less likely to mess with your landing gear. Combine with a mesh liner for optimal off-road comfort.
New ZealandPurchased yet another pair of these, the last ones lasted well.over 10 years of hard graft. Very comfortable, lightweight and fit for purpose. Initially I thought that the single pocket might be limiting but have found it perfect for small stuff - cash / credit card / phone. Buy some. They're great.
New ZealandI ride without a liner, I sent these shorts back as the stitching join was right where my sit bones touched the saddle. Also the pockets are too deep so my phone kept hitting the back of my knee.
AustraliaI've been wearing snipes for years for MTB and now gravel. I recently bought a new pair in a fetching navy colour and I'm pleased to see that the performance is as good and a couple of improvements. The cut is slightly different with a dart of fabric in the thigh and a slimmer cut on the leg - a welcome improvement. The waist is slightly more generous, with the medium now, I'm guessing, around 33 inches without pulling in the Velcro tabs. The back now has a broad section with fewer seams and its noticeably more comfortable especially when your back is damp from sweat. Finally, the fabric is improved. I think that's its more stretchy and it appears to be made from a textile similar to the performance fabric Pertex Equilibrium: raised dots on the inside to absorb sweat and lead to less chilling in cool weather. As always, these shorts have great ventilation. The thigh vents really work. One downside, the new fabric is rougher on the thigh when you are cycling, it's noticeable from the older model. I suggest a short strip of satin nylon sewn into the leg would fix this. Oh, and make them even narrower in the leg and they would be perfect.

New ZealandGreat service and delivery, as always. Fit /sizing information "fits" well, mid-range on velcro adjustors. Comfortable fabric, cool on hot day. Not too long in the leg but I would prefer two front pockets. Colour.... I like it bright but it is a bit of a clash with my tops so some more purchases may be required :-)
