A solid night's sleep helps the body and sense of humour recover after a hard day's toil. At just 60 grams, and about the size of a small rodent, the Aeros Ultralight Pillow is more of a backcountry essential than a mere indulgence.
Really impressed with this pillow, firstly, extremely compact as is about as small as a silk liner for a sleeping bag. Space is critical to me so fills that need perfectly. Two decent puffs and makes a really comfortable pillow which far excedes sleeping on my puffer jacket or spare clothes bunched together. Definite well worth it.
Forget packing your spare clothes into your sleeping bag cover as a lumpy, bumpy pillow. Invest in one of these tiny, super comfy pillows. My husband and I certainly give them the thumbs up...well, maybe little fingers up. The only issue we had with them were his fingers were too big to fit into the inflat/deflat valve. Just as well he had me there to do the house work!
I used this last week riding solo on the Old Ghost Road. Having had an accident resulting in a broken nose, I wasn’t looking forward to two uncomfortable sleeps in the huts. The aero pillow made up for it. It sat my head up high enough to achieve a degree of comfort rather than scrunching clothes together for a pillow. Looking forward to using it again.
