The Pemberton Visitor Centre in the south west of WA has spent the last ten years building the Pemberton Mountain Bike Park, some 30 kilometres of trail that caters for a range of riders.
Out West, the Perth Mountain Bike Club is building two new trails on Department of Environment and Conservation land near Dwellingup. They'll include North Shore type jumps and structures built to DEC specifications from steel with wooden decking.
The West Australian Mountain Bike Association (WAMBA) are the trail advocacy and co-ordination body for mountain biking in WA. Constantly working on new trails and upgrading and maintaining the existing trails they asked Ground Effect to bank roll a compactor.
The Margaret River Off Road Cycling Association is creating flowing lines in a part of the world better known for wine and waves. The Slush Fund hit them with the IMBA books and chipped in $1000 for sculpting equipment including fire rakes, shovels and a chainsaw to battle the forest with.
