The Belmont Area Mountain Biking Association (BAMBA) in Greater Wellington has recently completed a professional, machine re-build of the popular ‘Electric Avenue’ - orginally hand-built by volunteers back in 2017. Ground Effect’s Slush Fund stumped up $1750 to purchase a leaf blower to help keep the new track neat, tidy and flowing fast.

The Central Wairarapa BMX Club have been busy rebuilding a historic relic from the birth of BMX glory days of the 1980s. A small band of volunteers have slogged away for nearly 5 years to rebuild the track on the outskirts of Masterton.

In 2023 Trails Wellington opened the first section Te Tuarā o Matairangi, the new Grade 4 flow and jumps trail on Matairangi (Mt Victoria). Trails Wellington work in partnership with Wellington Mtb Club, Mākara Peak Supporters and Brooklyn Trail Builders to maintain and create mtb trails around Wellington City.

The Panpac Eskdale Mtb Park located in Esk Valley suffered massive damage during Cyclone Gabrielle. It's going to be a huge effort to restore the park so the community can ride there again. The Hawkes Bay Mtb Club started a Givealittle page to help raise funds for the rebuild, and the Slush Fund added $1000 to their fundraising campaign.

As an old volcano covered mostly in native bush, Pirongia is an awesome maunga for building mountain bike tracks. The Ground Effect Slush Fund recently helped out Pirongia Mtb with $2000 to add another e-barrow to their fleet.21 July 2022

The Motu Trails Charitable Trust take care of the Pakihi Track and Dunes Trail near Opotiki in the Eastern Bay of Plenty. The Slush Fund donated a nudge over $2000 to purchase new tools and a double wheeled barrow for the Trust.28 June 2022

The Waiheke Mtb Club are building three large table tops to give their trail network at the Onetangi Sports Park a bit more ooomph. The Ground Effect Slush Fund donated $1700 to purchase a leaf blower to keep the trails tidy.

Kaipara Cycling Inc. are developing the Kauri Coast Mountain Bike Park 12km from Dargaville in the Kaipara District. The Ground Effect Slush Fund contributed $2000 for trail expertise and digger driver time towards the build of the Matariki Trail.
