The Sainsbury Road Mtb Park just out of Hamilton boasts 7km of prime singletrack on Mt Pirongia. Ground Effect's Slush Fund helped out with new signage to help to navigate the brown pow.

Auckland's West Coast Riders Club (WCRC) has through Rayonier Forests secured a large block of land exclusively for mountain bike use - now known as Riverhead. This has allowed them to rapidly create a quality network of trails and even a pump track.

In 2014 the Thames Mountain Bike Club opened their new 'Scarface Trails' - carved from the old gold mining country in the hills behind Thames. The track is based on historic sled trails used from the 1860s to transport ore to gold stamper batteries that were once operated by hundreds in the hills.

The Te Miro Mountain Bike Park is based on a Council reserve between Cambridge and Morrinsville in the Waikato. Over the past two years there has been a big improvement in the track system by a small group of extremely enthusiastic track builders from the Te Miro Mountain Bike Club.

The Manawatu Mountain Bike Club are the masterminds behind the Arapuke Mtb Park in Arapuke Forest. The park is owned by Palmerston North City Council, with trail development managed by the club.

Whataupoko Reserve was purchased by the Gisborne District Council in the early 90s. One enthusiastic local Bernie Vette has overseen the development of the trails used by hundreds of mountain bikers, walkers and runners each month.

The Ruapehu Mountain Bike Club and Ohakune 2000 in partnership with the local iwi - Ngāti Rangi signed a memorandum of understanding for the development of the Te Pepe Bike Park, situated right next to the start gate of the Mountains to Sea Cycle Trail.
