'Mountain Bikers of Alexandra' are a voluntary group who oversee mountain biking in their patch of Central Otago. Responsible for keeping local trails in good condition, developing new trails and advocating on behalf of its members.

In 2014 the Thames Mountain Bike Club opened their new 'Scarface Trails' - carved from the old gold mining country in the hills behind Thames. The track is based on historic sled trails used from the 1860s to transport ore to gold stamper batteries that were once operated by hundreds in the hills.

The beautiful Wingello State Forest in the Southern Highlands of NSW boasted a fun network of singletrack. Much of the trail network was destroyed during the 2020 bushfires. However, after three years of hard work the first stage of a new network is open.

The Te Miro Mountain Bike Park is based on a Council reserve between Cambridge and Morrinsville in the Waikato. Over the past two years there has been a big improvement in the track system by a small group of extremely enthusiastic track builders from the Te Miro Mountain Bike Club.

Out West, the Perth Mountain Bike Club built two new trails on Department of Environment and Conservation land near Dwellingup. The trails included 'North Shore' type jumps and structures.

The Craigieburn Forest Park track network lies just an hour and a half (by car) west of Christchurch in the foothills of the Southern Alps. A blend of high country and beech forest singletrack, it is outrageously good mountain biking in a stunning location.

The Hogs Back Track at Castle Hill is now complete. Conceived by the Castle Hill Community, the trail is the product of 6 years lobbying and plenty of hard work by individuals and groups via a series of well attended work parties. The new track links Castle Hill village with the Mt Cheeseman access road at Texas Flat via 8.5km of perfect rolling sub-alpine singletrack.

The South Canterbury Mountain Bike Club requested Ground Effect funding to surface a new trail in the Raincliff Forest 35 clicks inland from Timaru. The trail forms a beginners loop of about 2km.

The Manawatu Mountain Bike Club are the masterminds behind the Arapuke Mtb Park in Arapuke Forest. The park is owned by Palmerston North City Council, with trail development managed by the club.

Whataupoko Reserve was purchased by the Gisborne District Council in the early 90s. One enthusiastic local Bernie Vette has overseen the development of the trails used by hundreds of mountain bikers, walkers and runners each month.
