The Ground Effect Slush Fund has been at it again. This time in Rotorua contributing $1000 towards the build of the new ‘Rocky Horror’ themed trails in Whakarewarewa Forest.

Auckland's West Coast Riders Club (WCRC) has through Rayonier Forests secured a large block of land exclusively for mountain bike use - now known as Riverhead. This has allowed them to rapidly create a quality network of trails and even a pump track.

Another Ground Effect Slush Fund work party was successfully done and dusted in November 2014. Having spent the last few years toiling on the Craigieburn Trails’ network, we migrated our efforts north to the Nelson Lakes area.

Welcome Rock Trails is a cross-country single track mtb reserve in the sub-alpine hills above Garston south of Queenstown. The trails offer riding on public conservation land as well as on private land including a loop high up on the Slate Range, including 6km along the Nevis Road.
